
Ted Stephens III is an actor, singer and dancer who has performed professionally with The Hippodrome State Theatre, Minnesota Repertory Theatre, New Ground Theatre and Third Time Theatre. Professional credits include: Duke in the U.S. regional premiere of The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Greg Sullivan in Spinning Into Butter, Bellhop in Lend Me A Tenor, Student/Technician in Wit, Greg in Journey for A Reason and Rooster in The Ugly Duckling, Inside-Out. Favorite roles include: Laertes in Hamlet, Bobby Child in Crazy for You, Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Stine in City of Angels, Alan Swann in My Favorite Year, Matthew in Private Eyes and Jerry in The Zoo Story.
Ted received his bachelor of arts in theatre at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where he also received three Irene Ryan Acting Nominations for his portrayals of Finch in How to Succeed…, Matthew in Private Eyes and Glenn Cooper in Rumors from the American College Theatre Festival. Currently, he is in the master of fine arts in acting program at the University of Florida, where he is on a full-tuition graduate assistantship. He is also a Grinter Fellow in the School of Theatre and Dance. Recently, he was recognized as a proficient stage combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, and Dueling Arts International. He is also in the Actors’ Equity Association membership candidacy program.
He has dabbled in commercial and voiceover work for i-Wireless, Mt. St. Clare College and the University of Florida.
Ted has stage managed many shows, including How I Learned to Drive, Hedda Gabler, Buried Child and Death of A Salesman. He has also served as producer for You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, A Chorus Line, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Smokey Joe’s Cafe and Cinderella.
In his freetime, Ted manages his company, Ted Stephens III Web Design, enjoys working out, swimming and going to the beach, spending time with his friends and family, and traveling across the country and abroad. He is an avid Chicago Cubs fan, Iowa Hawkeye fan and Florida Gators fan.
